The Education Alliance (TEA) is a non-profit organization that warmly welcomes all those who share our passion for providing high-quality education to every child in India. Headquartered in Delhi, we are committed to promoting system reform projects that help to ensure that all children in India have equitable access to quality education.

We support state education departments by deploying highly qualified teams that work with state and non-state actors to co-create solutions to improve the quality of education in government schools. About: Dr B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence (ASoSE)

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence are choice-based schools for grades 9 to 12 that allow students to specialise in their chosen fields of study. The Government of NCT of Delhi has established Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence in order to cater to students who have a demonstrated interest and aptitude in specific domains. These schools aim to nurture students for all-round development and, at the same time, set them up in their chosen area of specialisation. Students in Ambedkar SOSEs receive targeted preparation for higher education pathways and career opportunities through world class infrastructure and top teachers to transact new-age curriculum and assessment in the specialised domains. These operate in the following domains:

About the Role:

Position Overview:

In this role, you will play a key leadership position, responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of education projects in collaboration with state governments and other implementation partners. You will work closely with government officials, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of policies and reforms in the education space, leading to tangible improvements in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Strategy and Planning:

• Collaborate with the executive team to develop the organization’s programmatic strategy, aligning it with the NGO’s mission and goals.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to identify education challenges and opportunities in partnership with state governments.
• Develop comprehensive program plans, including setting objectives, defining deliverables, and establishing timelines and resource requirements.
• Regularly assess and update program strategies based on evolving educational policies and societal needs.

Project Implementation and Management:

• Oversee the execution of education projects in collaboration with state governments, and other partner organizations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement corrective actions to ensure project success.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including government officials, educational institutions, and community partners, to ensure effective project implementation.
• Identify capacity gaps in government partners and provide support through training and capacity-building initiatives.

Advocacy and Partnership:

• Represent the organization at relevant forums, conferences, and meetings with state government officials and other stakeholders.
• Forge strategic partnerships with organizations and institutions to leverage resources and enhance the impact of education programs.
• Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, including government representatives, donors, implementing partners, and community members.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, perspectives, and feedback, incorporating their insights into program design and implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build consensus, resolve conflicts, and foster a shared vision for achieving education goals.

Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of 8-16 individuals, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
• Establish and monitor team and individual performance goals, regularly reviewing progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing development plans as needed.
• Efficiently allocate and manage team resources, including budget, personnel, and project assignments, to optimize productivity and achieve strategic goals.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve departmental and organizational objectives

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 10+ years of work experience in consulting/government/education sectors
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), experience in documentation, writing reports, proposals, and presentation skills
• Analytically strong, with an ability to understand, work with, and draw insights from data; familiarity with data analysis tools
• Ability to coordinate between and build relationships with various stakeholders within the government and with partner organizations
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment, and maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate multiple simultaneous projects
• Strong project & team management skills – prioritization, setting goals, assessing progress and course correction.
• Demonstrated commitment to social impact/prior experience working in the social sector
• Innovative thinker with a strong interest in developing new ideas and championing those initiatives with senior stakeholders

Salary: 20+ Lakhs per annum

Expected date of Joining: 1st November
