The Education Alliance (TEA) is a non-profit organisation that warmly welcomes all those who share our passion for providing high-quality education to every child in India. Headquartered in Delhi, we are committed to promoting system reform projects that help to ensure that all children in India have equitable access to quality education.
We support state education departments by deploying highly qualified teams that work with state and non-state actors to co-create solutions to improve the quality of education in government schools. We currently operate in five states (Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab) and are proud to have a dedicated team of 50+ young professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Job Summary:
The Punjab Government’s Schools of Applied Learning (SoAL) initiative aims to revolutionise vocational education for senior secondary students. The initiative aims to transform skill-based education by preparing students for employment through vocational training. The program emphasises practical learning, industry partnerships, and skill development to meet the state’s demand for skilled manpower. To ensure the success of this program, we are seeking a highly qualified Curriculum Development Specialist to join our team on a contract basis.
SoAL offers four trades—Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Digital Design and Development, Beauty & Wellness, and Healthcare Sciences—alongside foundational subjects (languages, technology, and career courses). Each trade includes three specialised trade specific subjects
The curriculum is developed in collaboration with Knowledge Partners, including premier institutes and industry experts. In this role, your focus will be on the Beauty and Wellness trade, specifically designing learning materials for Hairstyling and Salon Management.
Beauty and Wellness Course – This course covers two core subjects:
Upon completion, students will have the skills to pursue careers in the beauty and wellness industry.

Over the duration of the contract, the following outcomes are to be achieved:
Skills and Qualifications
Duration of the contract: October 2024 to March 2025, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement.
Work Arrangement: Flexible work arrangement, allowing for remote work. However, occasional travel will be required for in-person meetings with knowledge partner, teacher consultations etc.
Location: Remote. Preference to anyone based out of Chandigarh
Compensation:The compensation will be discussed based on your qualifications, experience, and the specific outcomes of your work.
