Deepak works as the Academic Lead-Literacy with Project Ankur supporting Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Madhya Pradesh to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy across all government schools.
Deepak has been working in the education sector for 10+ years and has in-depth exposure to teacher training & capacity building, classroom teaching, assessment processes, project coordination, field-based monitoring, community engagement, stakeholder management, and development campaigns. of the workings of strategy in the sector. He has extensive knowledge of strategy, program implementation, and relationship-building to meet targets in the development sector. In 2009, started his career as a Library Facilitator in Room to Read. At Room to Read, he worked as a Field Coordinator, and a Program Assistant to implement reading and writing instruction programs in government primary schools in Tehri district and Haridwar in Uttarakhand. Deepak has also worked with Skill India project for vocational education in New Delhi. With Bodh Shiksha Samiti as an Academic Support Fellow, Deepak worked closely with HCL Foundation to ensure that selected schools in the Delhi NCR region covered under the ‘My School’ Programme, improved with respect to the overall quality of education (students’ learning and development), so as to evolve as demonstration centers for supporting other neighborhood schools, and to structurally affect state-level policies.
He has an MA in Hindi from HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand, and also MSW from IGNU. Before this, he completed his B.A from HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand.
