Revathi Ramanan | Project Lead, Tamil Nadu
Revathi is the Project Lead for the Tamil Nadu State Reform Project. She joined TEA post her Master’s in Education and is passionate about strengthening the quality of government schools across India as she believes that making public schools better is the only way to achieve universal access to quality education for all children in India.
Previously, Revathi worked for 9 years at Teach for India where she started her journey as a TFI fellow and went on to manage the Program Operations of the Hyderabad site of TFI, working with schools, teachers and teacher coaches. She is also passionate about child protection and prevention of abuse against children and has worked on strengthening the child protection policy at TFI. In some past life she was also a journalist with the Times of India and a software developer with Cognizant but has since found her calling in the education sector.
She is a Commonwealth Scholar and has a M.A in Education and International Development from University College London and a post graduate diploma in journalism from Asian College of Journalism. When she is not running behind her twin children or wasting time on Twitter, she likes to read books and cook.
