The School Quality Enhancement Program, a collaboration between The Education Alliance and Municipal Corporation of Delhi, is focused on elevating the educational standards within MCD Schools in Delhi. Our mission is to not only improve academic quality but also to foster a nurturing environment that empowers students for success. Key Responsibilities:
As a Coordinator of the school:
- Develop and implement the School Development Plan and Academic Strategy to drive student and teacher growth.
- Effectively manage the school team by setting and upholding a high standard of excellence, encouraging initiative, and resolving conflicts constructively.
- Intentionally shape and strengthen the team and school culture.
- Lead annual student enrollment from target communities, ensuring appropriate intake numbers.
- Build strong relationships with community leaders and student families to enhance community engagement and maximize impact.
- Collaborate consistently with other Academic Coordinators from the School Transformation Program and partner NGOs.
As an Instructional Coach:
- Co-create ambitious student achievement goals with teachers for each class.
- Observe classroom instruction regularly, provide actionable feedback, and facilitate professional development sessions focused on effective teaching practices.
- Ensure systematic documentation and collection of student data to inform instructional strategies.
- Develop individualized growth plans for all staff, tailoring support based on their specific needs.
- Coordinate with TFI Program Managers and the training team to support the professional development of TTF and TFI Fellows, as well as other school staff.
As an Operations Lead:
- Design and oversee all operational and logistical functions of the school, including systems related to infrastructure, HR, data management, government compliance, and administration.
- Manage and monitor the school’s annual budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Maintain positive and productive relationships with government officials, parents, and community stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a teacher or working directly with students/teachers/schools
- Experience of having built and managed high-functioning team(s) to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in project planning and execution starting from vision and goal setting, product/program design, monitoring and evaluation, and resource allocation and optimization
- Ability to create a 5-year vision for a project/program, and design the strategy necessary to achieve the outcomes
- An entrepreneurial mindset – eager to design and create systems and processes towards outcomes.
- Demonstrates an incredibly strong work ethic, willingness to learn and critical reflection
