Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Associate with 1-2 years of experience in the education sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of academics and pedagogy, on-ground and program management experience in large-scale programs, and excellent communication skills in both Hindi and English. 

About Mission Ankur:

Mission Ankur is the flagship initiative aimed at enhancing foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) outcomes for students in grades 1-3 in Madhya Pradesh. Under the broader framework of the NIPUN Bharat Mission (2021-27), TEA has been working with the Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Madhya Pradesh as the State Project Management Unit (SPMU) for Mission Ankur since 2019. Additionally, this year onwards TEA has set up a District PMU in one district to drive mission implementation on ground.

About the Role:

The Senior Associate role is a dynamic opportunity to support our team in orchestrating overall program management, defining strategy/design, and driving day-to-day execution across various workstreams. This role will also include driving stakeholder management with all partner organizations involved, ensuring that their core strategic focus aligns with wider department mandates.

Key Responsibilities-

The Senior Associate will work with the Senior Program Manager in the design and delivery of key academic workstreams, primarily focusing on various forms of continuous professional development for teachers.

  • Support Senior Program Manager and external partners’ team in planning the various academic workstreams with a particular focus on continuous teacher professional development.
  • Design and develop various materials including facilitation guides, decks and other resources to implement CPD for teachers. 
  • Conduct research and analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) at the field level for testing the quality and impact of the launched initiatives.
  • Coordinate with academic partners (government officials, NGOs, etc.) for design, approvals and implementation as needed, follow-up with the department for orders and notifications. 

Communication & Documentation

  • Documentation and communication related to program achievements/outcomes and program implementation through concept notes, presentations, reports, approval letters, etc.
  • Documentation on on-ground learnings and knowledge received from external partners to support TEA’s internal capacity/knowledge building.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 1-2 years of work experience in the education sector
  2. Candidates with strong academic knowledge / classroom experience preferred (such as TFI, previous roles focussed on content/curriculum design)
  3. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), experience in documentation, writing reports, proposals, and presentation skills in Hindi and English
  4. Analytically strong, with an ability to understand, work with, and draw insights from data
  5. Ability to coordinate between and build relationships with various stakeholders within the government and with partner organisations
  6. Ability to work in a high-paced environment, and maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate multiple simultaneous projects
  7. Demonstrated commitment to social impact/prior experience working in the social sector.
