Revathi Ramanan | Director, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, Gujarat
Revathi leads the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy initiative for the state of Gujarat at The Education Alliance. She has 12 years of experience and has worked with Teach for India for 8 years in various capacities. Prior to joining the education sector, she was a journalist covering issues of health and education at The Times of India. She has experience in leading program operations, designing vision, strategy, and monitoring and evaluation systems, developing curriculum, facilitating effective learning experiences, and building partnerships to increase impact. She is deeply passionate about equity and inclusion and wants to work towards ensuring all children in India receive an excellent quality education irrespective of the backgrounds they come from.
Revathi has an MA in Education and International Development from The Institute of Education, London, a Master’s in Journalism from Asian College of Journalism, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai.
