Asmita Jain Bansal | Senior Associate - Communications

Asmita is a public policy professional passionate about governance, advocacy, and sustainable development. As Deputy Manager for Policy Advocacy at Vedanta Resources, she played a key role in shaping trade policies and free trade agreements, building government-industry partnerships, and driving strategies aimed at delivering direct business impact. She has also contributed to civic initiatives at Janaagraha, including MyCityMyBudget and Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0, and conducted voter research with ShowTime Consulting.

Asmita holds an M.A. in Public Policy & Governance from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a B.A. Social Sciences (Hons.) from Panjab University. Her research interests span urban development, trade policy, and education. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring food and spending time outdoors.
