Kanchan Lall | Director - Partnerships & Operations
Kanchan Lall is the Director, Partnerships & Operations at The Education Alliance (TEA). She has been with TEA for 11 years and joined the organisation in its early days after an 8-year stint in research and consulting. With a passion for systemic education transformation, she plays a pivotal role in advancing TEA’s mission to revitalize public schools, particularly for underserved populations. She oversees operations across TEA’s multiple state initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and effective program execution. Kanchan led the conceptualization and implementation of TEA’s School Quality Enhancement Program (SQEP) in Delhi—a public-private partnership initiative aimed at revitalizing government schools. She also played a key role in building a coalition of organizations and designing the Foundational Learning mission for the State of Madhya Pradesh, focused on strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy up to Grade 3. She led the foundational learning program ‘Mission Ankur’ from its inception for four years. Currently, she oversees the implementation of TEA’s senior secondary education and vocational education in the states of Delhi and Punjab. In her previous role, Kanchan worked with a consulting firm specializing in foreign direct investment, advising foreign companies in the consumer and retail sectors. She supported them with market intelligence and rollout plans to establish operations in India. She has also worked with Evalueserve, a business research firm, and holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. During her time at ISB, she served as the Community Initiatives Coordinator for the Net Impact Club, where she was responsible for fostering student-led initiatives focused on social welfare.
